Gratefully Dreaming features various crystals/gemstones, handmade jewelry, natural wall hangings and crochet clothing. I put all of my heart energies into everything that I create. I believe that the act of creating art is an excellent way to express inner feelings/emotions as well as to discover oneself.

Ever since I can remember, I have felt a strong and alluring pull towards the natural world. Some of my earliest memories are of exploring my backyard, turning over rocks and discovering different bugs and creatures that lived underneath them. I collected whatever I felt the need to hold, such as acorns, pinecones, rocks, feathers, and clovers. My room was a shrine to all of my natural findings and I loved gazing at my found treasures in wonder. This deep appreciation for nature had an enormous influence on me and is revealed through my artwork.
My profound love for nature has not only inspired my artwork; it has allowed me to find my place within the natural world. While spending time outside when I was younger, I acquired a rock collection. I identified every rock that I had, searching through books and field guides for their scientific names. Little did I know that my childhood rock collection would influence a large part of my later personality; I am now an avid crystal and gemstone collector and utilize these natural wonders in my artwork. The jewelry that I create reflects my interest in the Earth and the alluring and ethereal qualities of crystals and gemstones, which can be seen in both my wire and electroformed jewelry. I believe that I channel Earth energies through the creation of my jewelry; I feel a constant urge to continue my creative process utilizing the Earth’s natural gifts.
My wire jewelry focuses on the symmetry found in nature. I began working with wire in 2014 and I feel that found a way to create unique jewelry while practicing mindfulness in my art. Through using different sizes of wire, I thoughtfully wrap and weave, letting my creativity flow freely. . Working with wire offers limitless possibilities; I truly enjoy the transfer of my thoughts to the jewelry that I create. Recently, I have taken up the art of electroforming; this process involves sending an electrical current through copper and growing the copper onto whatever object you choose. I look forward to continuing my journey to create unique and intricate jewelry.
